FrameShots is a program designed to help you create image thumbnails from movies. It supports AVI, MPEG, QuickTime files, Windows Media files and DVD clips.
The interface of the tool is based on a standard window where you can video clips by using either the file browser or 'drag and drop' method. Working with multiple items at the same time is possible.

Once you have the exact shot or frame that you want to make a thumbnail from, FrameShots makes the selection for you. Make as many thumbnails as you want, and you can organize them in folders.
Thumbnail creation is simple. Just drag and drop the file (AVI, MPEG, QuickTime, Windows Media, DVD, Windows Media) onto the FrameShots window. This will bring up the file window, with your clip displayed in the media player window. The video starts at the exact position you specify in the file. Use the controls and the mouse scroll wheel to move the video along. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+O and Ctrl+I (Option+Alt+I on Windows Vista). The Ctrl+O key opens the thumbnail creation window. Once the thumbnail is created, you can move or resize it and adjust its properties with the mouse. Keep in mind that you must use the move and resize controls to move and change the size of the thumbnail. The Ctrl+I key will toggle the thumbnails display on and off. Once you are done making your thumbnails, just create and save them to a folder. Save them as JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIF, TIFF, PNG or in one of the supported video formats.

Automatic file processing
FrameShots automatically selects a frame or a clip from the movie and creates a thumbnail of it. The first time you run FrameShots, it will collect all the clips in an unattended manner and create a list of all the files. Each of these files is represented by its thumbnail. You can add a new clip to FrameShots and continue working on the other files. When you are finished creating the thumbnails, just click Save to save them.
